The article deals with the data of international studies, confirming the importance of IMT as a predictor of coronary heart disease and to identify independent risk factor for cardiovascular events.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Толщина интима-медиа (ТИМ) сонных артерий — неинвазивный маркер изменения сосудистой стенки, легко определяемый при помощи дуплексного сканирования сонных артерий.
