Questionnaires, clinical, instrumental, laboratory examinations and absorptiometry. Linear regression analysis was performed to identify factors associat ed with appendicular muscle mass (AMM).</p><p><bold>Results.</bold> Probable SP was detected in 35 (54.7 %), and confirmed SP – 17 (26.5 %) women with SSc. The frequency of SP did not differ depending on the form of the disease. Univariate linear analysis revealed the relationship between the AMM and BMI, nutritional status; mid-upper arm, waist, hip and calf circumferences, skin Rodnan score, cumulative dose of glucocorticoids (GC) and BMD of the proximal hip. Multivariate linear analysis confirmed the presence of associations between the AMM index and BMI (b = 0.65; <italic>p</italic> &lt;0.001), the Rodnan skin score (b = –0.19; <italic>p</italic> = 0.047), the cumulative dose of GC (b = –0.22; <italic>p</italic> = 0.021).</p><p><bold>Conclusion.</bold> The study demonstrated that more than a quarter of patients with SSc had a confirmed SP. Although age is the main risk factor for SP in the general population, in our study it did not differ between patients with low and normal AMM. The cumulative dose of GC and the Rodnan skin score were negatively, and BMI was positively associated with the value of AMМ.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><bold>Цель исследования </bold>– определить частоту саркопении (Сп) и выявить факторы, ассоциирующиеся с величиной мышечной массы у женщин с системной склеродермией (ССД).</p><p><bold>Материалы и методы.</bold> В исследование включены 64 женщины с ССД в возрасте 40–70 лет. проведено анкетирование, клинико-инструментальное, лабораторное и денситометрическое обследования. Для выявления факторов, связанных с аппендикулярной мышечной массой (АММ), проведен линейный регрессионный анализ.</p><p><bold>Результаты.</bold> Вероятная Сп выявлена у 35 (54,7 %), а подтвержденная Сп – у 17 (26,5 %) женщин с ССД. Частота Сп не различалась в зависимости от формы заболевания. Однофакторный линейный анализ выявил взаимосвязь между индексом АММ и индексом массы тела (ИМТ), статусом питания, окружностями плеча, талии, бедер и голени, кожным счетом по Роднану, кумулятивной дозой глюкокортикоидов (ГК) и минеральной плотностью костной ткани проксимального отдела бедра. Многофакторный линейный анализ подтвердил наличие ассоциаций между индексом АММ и ИМТ (b = 0,65; <italic>р</italic> &lt;0,001), кожным счетом по Роднану (b = –0,19; <italic>р</italic> = 0,047), кумулятивной дозой ГК (b = –0,22; <italic>р</italic> = 0,021).</p><p><bold>Заключение.</bold> Исследование продемонстрировало, что более 1 / 4 пациентов с ССД имели подтвержденную Сп. Хотя возраст является основным фактором риска развития Сп в общей популяции, в нашем исследовании он не отличался у пациентов с низкой и нормальной АММ.
