The paper describes a clinical case of developing rheumatoid arthritis complicated by osteoporosis in a male. It considers the possible riskfactors of osteoporosis and fractures, including those associated with rheumatoid arthritis, the necessity of assessing the 10-year risk of major osteoporotic fractures and femoral neck ones to timely use not only calcium and vitamin D preparations, but also antiosteoporotic therapy to prevent osteoporosis.

В статье представлено клиническое наблюдение развития ревматоидного артрита (РА) у мужчины, осложненного остеопорозом (ОП). Рассматриваются возможные факторы риска возникновения ОП и переломов, в том числе ассоциированных с РА, необходимость оценки 10-летнего риска основных остеопоротических переломов и переломов шейки бедра в целях своевременного назначения не только препаратов кальция и витамина D для профилактики ОП, но и антиостеопоротической терапии.
